In snowy no man’s land in the North of Germany lies a floating bordershop-container with chains attached to a ferry terminal. Here Kaisa, the shop manager, and her employees fill the shelves every day with their traveling customers’ dreams of escapism: alcohol, cigarettes and candies. In an attempt to make their universe last forever, Kaisa casts off the chains to shore. They float out at sea, but can escapism save them?
